Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Websters 1. Having concern for or helping to improve the welfare and happiness of people. This discription fits the biblical instruction, love thy neighbor as thyself. As we ponder our lives from our beginning in South Memphis let us reflect on the many, many, humanitarians this neighborhood produced. To be a loving, kind, considerate, and thoughtful neighbor, cost nothing; and you will be pleasing in God's sight. Psalm 103:1 I bless the holy name of God with all my heart.---Stay on the Jesus road---Joe
How Quick Life Goes By

Just recently there have been several instances where the amount of time we have in this life became evident. One day all seems ok, some pain, a visit to the doctor, bad news, and life is changed. What seemed like a pleasant senior life is turned upside down. Nearly everyone of us are experencing these struggles. Fact is, we just wear out. The good side to this is, Jesus has gone to prepare a place for those who have put their trust in him. There we will be with our loved ones and friends in his paradise forever.---Stay on the Jesus road---Joe
God Bless America

There is an old saying, if all our troubles were put in a bag along with everyone else's and we were told to pick the troubles we had to keep, most of us would pick our own. Where we were born, our nationality, what country is on our birth certificate, these are choices we did not make. God made the choice for us, our parents, family, etc. all blessings from God. So today as we celebrate the birth of our country, put your bag of troubles away, and thank God you live in, and or are, a citizen of America. "In God We Trust".---Stay on the Jesus road---Joe

Doing God's will does not mean that we must always do physical tasks. For many reasons physical activity becomes limited. Friends, neighbors, family, and others can always use a reminder of our concern for them. Use our modern technoligy; call, text, e-mail, or whatever and let them know you care for them. Your actions will be pleasing to our Father. I have loved you with an everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3---Stay on the Jesus road---Joe
Live Like Jesus

A hundred years from now there will be no one alive who knew any of us. Where we lived, what we wore, kind of car we drove, or even what we looked like, unknown. The realization of this should make us more conscious of what is important in our lives. What we are and what we do today is what our legacy is and will be. Being thoughtful, kind, compassionate, loyal, moral, trustworthy, etc., with charity and a giving heart are what will last. From an old christian hymn; "Stand up, stand up for Jesus ye soldiers of the cross lift high your royal banners we must not suffer loss". Stay on the Jesus road---Joe
